Shinden Somei is stopping point on a major pilgrimage route and thus it has long maintained a bath house of a size greater than one would expect for a temple its size. The facilities can easily for four or five bathers at once although given the effort involved in readying the full bath it can be configured for a smaller pool facilitating two or three bathers.
